Tailgait (“we”, “us”) is a game-day parking and tailgate finder for Buffalo Bills home games. This policy explains what information the app handles and what it deliberately does not.
- You sign in with Apple or Google. That gives us your name, an email address, and a sign-in ID. That’s how you have an account.
- You can optionally add a contact email for game-day updates. Off by default; you choose.
- Your location never leaves your phone. The map shows where you are, but we do not receive, store, share, or sell your location. There is no code path that transmits it, and we test for that on every release.
- We don’t sell any data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics.
- You can delete your account in the app, and everything we hold about you goes with it.
What we collect
Account information (from Apple or Google sign-in): your display name, the email address your provider shares (Apple lets you hide your real one — that’s fine with us), and a sign-in identifier. Used to operate your account. Processed by Clerk (our sign-in provider) and stored in Convex (our database provider).
Optional contact email: if you choose to add one, we store it to send you the updates you opted into. You can remove it or turn off updates any time in the Profile tab.
What we deliberately do not collect
- Your location. The app asks for location permission only to draw your position on the map, on your device. Coordinates are never sent to our servers, never logged, never shared. Denying the permission leaves the map fully usable.
- No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps.
- No contacts, photos (fans never upload photos), payment details, or browsing history.
Who else touches the data
- Clerk (clerk.com) — sign-in. Sees your provider identity.
- Convex (convex.dev) — database and backend hosting.
Both are processors bound by their own security and privacy terms. We do not share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it.
Parking and tailgate listings
Listings shown in the app are created and approved by the Tailgait team. Homeowner contact details are kept in a private, separate store; the only owner detail fans ever see is a phone number the owner explicitly agreed to display.
Deleting your account
Profile tab → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account record and sign-in identity. There is no waiting period and nothing to email us about — though you can, at the address below.
Children
Tailgait is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If our practices change, this page changes first and the app’s store listings are updated to match. Material changes will be called out in the app.
